Did you see this week’s video walkthrough?

This week’s [walkthrough on YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfnQGPJ2HmM) shows you how to add a headline to your LinkedIn profile. If you haven’t already customized your headline, LinkedIn will likely pull your position title and where you work. It’s important to customize your headline with keywords and a value statement because your headline will follow you around LinkedIn, acting as a first impression when anyone sees your name.

Your headline appears not only at the top of your profile, but also on newsfeed posts, the “people you may know” section on LinkedIn, on job applications, and in search results. The keywords that you weave into your headline also will make enable your profile to appear in search, so it’s crucial to create a compelling headline that not only explains what makes you unique, but also contains any credentials or words that would bring your prospects, clients, or even recruiters to your profile.

Check out this week’s walkthrough to learn how to add a headline to your LinkedIn profile!
