While there has been talk that LinkedIn may do away with or drastically change LinkedIn Groups, it looks like they were actually rethinking how to re-integrate Groups into your primary LinkedIn applications and adding some new features to spark new life into Groups.

On February 15th, LinkedIn will no longer support a standalone iOS app for Groups – none of your existing group memberships and contributions will be affected by this change. So, what’s changing?

### Here’s a preview:

**Discover and access Groups more easily.** You’ll be able to access your Groups right from the homepage, and you’ll see the latest content from your Groups in notifications and the homepage feed.

*This is a huge improvement. I could never figure out why LinkedIn basically hid Groups in the grid icon in the top right corner of your LinkedIn navigation bar.*

**Be a part of richer conversations.** You’ll be able to post videos into your groups, @mention the members you want to weigh in, and keep the conversation going by replying to comments.

*This provides an opportunity to engage more interactively in your Groups and encourage your Group members to take a more active role in your community.*

You’ll start to see these changes in the upcoming weeks and months. And, remember, LinkedIn always rolls out their changes randomly over time.
